El Camino Es De Ellas: Latinas in Lowrider Culture (Latine Heritage Month 2026)

Women have always been part of the Lowriders community and recently a new generation of women collectors, scholars, and enthusiasts are redefining what it means to be a Latina leading the path in a male-dominated scene.

Join us for a conversation with lowrider collectors Valerie Tuller-Laiwa and Ruby Ramirez moderated by Prof. Lucia Araiza Uribe (Latina/Latino Studies).

This is event is co-sponsored by the SF State Library and the Latina/Latino Studies department.

Light refreshments will be provided.
